• Rescue Rod attended Poole Hospital for routine maintenance and repair works. During the visit, it became aware that existing pitch fibre pipework had failed and was leaking to ground and eroding soil and sub-strata.
  • Collaborative investigation with the client showed that the extent of the problem was quite severe and it was concluded that emergency works would be implemented for the repair and replacement of a large section of pipework.
  • Works involved deep excavation to a depth of approximately 6m with designed trench protection and support.
  • Works tracked through vehicle hardstand and other associated landscaping and associated site protection, pedestrian and traffic control were put in place.
  • Pipe renewal, associated connections and chambers were installed and all excavations back filled, compacted and repaired to match previous finishes to a high standard.
  • The works were mobilised and executed in a tight timeframe to a high standard with full client satisfaction leaving Rescue Rod as an approved contractor for the NHS Trust managing the property.
